***Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, all placement tests are held online until further notice. Thank you for your understanding! The safety of our learners and our staff members is our priority.***

If you want to take a General English or an exam preparation course at our centre, then you must take a placement test. It is a test designed to determine the level of English you possess at the moment. Our expert will designate you a level according to your English language proficiency.

This test consists of two parts: a multiple-choice test on the computer and Speaking. In the first part, you will need to answer a series of questions on the computer. And in the second part, the procedure is similar, but the questions must be answered in spoken form. These questions cover a range of topics related to daily life.

The placement test is usually organised during the registration period for courses. You have to pay for the test if you intend to take it outside the course registration period. In order to have the placement test on demand, you need to check with our centre first (you can reach us via phone number or via Facebook).

You do not need to register for the test in advance if you take it during the registration period. You simply need to show up within the designated period and take the test – simple as that! 🙂

If you have a certificate or confirmation of your level from another centre, you still have to take our placement test, as the level you were given there, might vary from the official CEFR scale.

Our Cambridge English Authorised Exam Centre is one of the few centres in Moldova that works with the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages (CEFR). It is a standard European guideline used to describe the proficiency of learners of foreign languages, so it is very possible that your certificate issued by another centre does not abide by the same system. Our expert uses this guideline to designate you an appropriate level, so you can rest assured that this assessment will be objective and just. Cambridge Assessment English also uses the CEFR to evaluate and assess students who take Cambridge exams, so taking a course at our centre will help you progress towards your desired goal.

If you wish to take an exam preparation course but you do not possess the necessary level, you can always sign up for a General English course, after which your English will improve significantly and you will be eligible to attend an exam preparation course.

Come at our centre and register for our courses ASAP!
